Thought you ,might be interested in the attached - I built FifiKate 10 years ago to your Canoecraft plans for a Peterbrough - I think now renamed the Canadien 16. Built originally for the tranquil waters of the River Thames, but now that I live in Edinburgh, Scotland used regularly on rivers and lochs - the attached piccies were taken on Loch Veyatie on a trip into climb Suilven - the big mountain in the second picture. She's fast, agile and reasonably stable, and above all light. She could do with a little more volume for family camping trips. But I get much better welcome from landowners, fishermen etc than others with plastic barges. Maintainance over the ten years has consisted of wiping Danoil along the gunwales every now and then and a coat of varnish on the hull (once in ten years) to cover scratches. I did put a keel on here when she was built - perhaps a mistake as slightly as it catches on rocks in rivers. Just need the space now to build a bigger boat - Prospetor probably, plus to build others fo all friends who want one. Oh and lots more time to use her Many thanks Patrick Angier Edinburgh, Scotland
