Achim Wittmair - Redbird

Hello Mr. Moores, Please excuse my little english, but I want to thank you for your marvellous book canoecraft. It enabled me to build a very beautyful Redbird canoe with very young longterm unemployed and in the beginning bored people. At least they where so fascinated that some of them came in their sparetime to bring the project to a succesful end. We started with your number tables and ended on the river "Sieg" in North Rhine Westfalia in the deep west of Germany. I would like to show you the proud Builders, but the german laws for data protection doesn`t allow´s this. So i`ll send you only a picture of the canoe. But be shure, they learned a lot about their skills and abilities and working in a team. And now they know what a selfmade handcrafted object will give to them, for the very first time in their live. So thank you for enabeling me making this social project. Best wishes and continue with your impressing work. Achim Wittmair,
